Summer Saturday mornings usually belong to Greg. (at the golf course) But yesterday I took them back! My dad sent me and my sisters an email about a open call for movie extras. Not just any movie, it was a scene with Brad Pitt out on the salt flats. Ya, Brad Pitt. So Hayley and I set out on another adventure! Here she is driving us. She was really tired.

We were on our way to Tooele at 6 a.m.
This is Gregg and Mechelle (yes i spelled those right). While we were waiting at the wrong place, they pulled up on their Harley Davidson. We could tell they were cold so we asked if they wanted to get in our car with us. They came from Logan! He was quiet and shy and she was one of the funnier people I have ever met. We sat in the car and laughed till we finally realized we were probably at the wrong place. Mechelle plans to open up a coffee shop near Zions called Perky Cups. She will sell the coffee in cups sized A B C and D.

Once we found the right place we got in line...about 70 people back. It was freezing so Mechelle returned the favor and gave me her Harley jacket to wear. A girl came out and said we want you to look as plain as possible so don't put make up on if you are. Hayley and I began to wipe our make up off our eyes. Me with my fingers, Hayley had a wipe but wouldn't share.


This is where we got our big chance. We filled out our paper and a girl came up and starred us down then wrote a star on the back of our papers and we got our pictures taken. She wrote a Q like symbol on Gregg's and she told Mechelle her hair was too modern for what they were looking for, she didn't get anything written on hers. They told us girls we could go and kept Greg double G. Later we found out if you have a star you might have a chance but if you had the Q thing you were perfect. We can't wait to see the movie to see what this casting call was for. They did auditions in Tooele and Wendover. As we left there was about 1,000 people in line! Anyway, we left rejects. The movie is called Tree of Life and Heath Leger was actually supposed to play Brad's role.

So when we got home I saw this in our backyard!! My cute husband finally got the swing set I have been begging for! Begging because my children think our house is really boring. He worked ALL DAY!

It was a perfect day...we just hung out in the back yard and relaxed. Except Greg.
The weather was perfect!

Beaux sat and rubbed sunscreen on herself for about a half hour. Really.

Then she got sick of waiting. She loves to swing!

Roxy and Bentley came over to visit. I love these dogs. They are Brussels Griffens.

Funny Story:

I was tired from my early morning and went to bed. Forgetting to tell Greg to remember about the sprinklers and his tools and lumber being out etc. I don't know what time he came in but at 1:30 Beaux woke me up and needed a drink. I noticed Melissa's sprinklers on, that meant us next. I woke Greg up and he VERY TIREDLY went out to turn ours off. While he had his hands in the box instead of turning ours off he accidently turned them on! This giant power spray sprinkler popped up behind him and sprayed full force right across his back! It was SO FUNNY, but I felt bad and didn't laugh. I just asked when he came in, "Did that wake you up?" He said, "YES." He told me today it woke him up so much that he didn't fall back asleep till 3 a.m. I have been laughing thinking about it all day.
