"Mom..these scissors are cool!"

(This is what I found on my bathroom floor)
As I was getting ready for bunco tonight Sloane came in with these extremely sharp scissors and said this! (refer to title) I was relieved she wasn't crying from cutting herself then I noticed a certain look in her eye. Then...I noticed a lock of hair fall to the floor! I quickly looked her head of hair over and realized the damage wasn't too bad, then panicked that she had given Beaux a new look...which she hadn't..thank heaven. When I asked her if she cut her hair she said "no, Beaux did it." I gave her a I know your lying look and she said, "you didn't see me do it." With a look like you have no proof mom!
We narrowly avoided disaster! Now I just hope she forgets how fun it was for her!

One busy Elf

I love Spring Time and so does our Elf! Last year he built a house and landscaped his yard in one of our pots and it looks like he has been busy again this year. The girls love looking for him and think it's pretty magical! Indi said she saw him last year...so if you come by our house peek in a window...but he's sneeky so you will have to be quick!

This is my brother's son Marvin.....

Looking up to the heavens Marvin says....
THANK YOU!!!
Marvin's dad doesn't give him treats. For one because he is a fancy former show dog, but mostly because he barfs instantly anything that isn't dog food.
We heard something crash to the floor and new Marvin was the cause of it, then we remembered what Hayley had left on the floor from a photo shoot she had just finished!

Check out the cute photos from Hayley's shoot with this cake! She has some cool stuff posted.
She also has an exclusive photographers pass to Thanksgiving Point!
(They don't give them out anymore.)
So get on her schedule for some cute spring pictures!
Her link is on my blog list.

One Year Ago Today.....

Greg placed his first "portable restroom"!
(Other wise know as a can, out house, porta pottie, jon etc.)
His first customer was Jerry Anderson Construction...thanks Dad!

I can't believe it has already been a year and I am so proud of Greg and how far he has come since then. He took the leap..went out on his own, and has worked his GUTS out ever since! I have been so impressed with all he has taken on.

Thanks for working so hard for us...WE LOVE YOU!

Griffin was our first actual user.
All All-Stars are supplied not only with sanitizer but reading material. We feel it puts us ahead of our competition.
(Joking on the reading material)

Greg's dad helping with the BIG delivery!

"Out of the Box" Is Good for the Soul

Being a mom is the hardest, greatest, most rewarding job ever! As we all know it takes all of our time and we often get put last. The last month I have been lucky enough to have had two big adventures. First Good Things Utah and then mine and Hayley's quest to meet John Mayer. Can't believe they happened so close together. But they have made me realize the importance of "stepping out of my comfortable box" and doing something different once in a while! I truly feel recharged and hope I continue to find new adventures!
Good Things Utah was such a great experience and every one there is genuinely wonderful. Nicea, Angie and Reagan really make you feel comfortable and they are all really neat people with a neat job!
I am trying to figure out how in the world to put my mic on.
You can barely see my face.

Cooking with Angel Shannon...baked spagetti.

A big THANK YOU to Paula for talking me out of the brown shirt I had picked out, that would have made me look like I was part of this fashion show!

George Severson, the creator and producer. He is a blast and such a great guy! Thanks George!

My Fan Club!

Last one up...I had a lot to live up to. Thanks for making it up that morning with me girls!

I had some good butterflies going but when I looked over and saw my Indi sitting there in the audience it calmed me down...she was my good luck charm!

The Fam! Greg, my VERY laid back husband admitted he got really nervous for me when the show started.

I was SO lucky to have Paula and her girls...my second daughters, Ashley and Paige in town from California for the show! It made it all the more special. Thanks for putting up with all the pre-show fashion shows!

It was so fun to see Shannon, Cristen and Stacey there! We missed ya Darcie!
Bunco!!!

I think we were talking about how Angie licks off the cheese from her Doritos...then eats them.

The girls with Craig Worth.

Carly's face resembles those cartoons a little too well.

Ummmm....Ya!! HOLY CRAP!!!

Disclaimer: If someone obsessed with John Mayer annoys you, stop reading now.
P.S. The hubby is fine with my obsession.
Hayley and I have had a really bad case of John Mayer on the brain....Particularly meeting him. And we have seriously believed we could do it somehow. That is the only way I can explain this how this happened.
This is a very short version of this heavenly story.
If you remember a few posts back I talked about the benefit concert in California. Things weirdly fell into place and there we were...first getting our photo with him, then we had him alone in a lobby for a few minutes...where he held my hands, or I held his, and he said both of our names! Then we sat 12 feet away from him during the concert and after it was over....
Me, Hayley, BJ Novak (stars in and writes The Office) and JOHN MAYER were talking in the Beverly Wilshire Hotel lobby! Just the four of us! Where Hayley told John that BJ told her that they have the same favorite line from The Office. (The String Cheese one) Which lead to me asking him about his recent trip to Japan where he went to clear his head. THEN he looked straight into my eyes and said, "I'm going to tell you a story..." No joke my pupils were 18 inches away from his while he told me a ten minute liberating experience he had in Japan! Never looking away once!
"Before I recognize this moment, this moment will be gone."
-John Mayer

Hayley driving us to the hotel as we had lots of high hopes, but were just excited to have an out of the ordinary fancy night together. She looked like this the whole way there.
This was the GPS Lady that directed our journey. Hayley later wrote and sang a beautiful song about her.

We pulled into the Beverly Wilshire Hotel's valet parking among nothing but black Mercedes, Range Rovers, and Escalades in our silver Chevy Impala. Soon after...out walk Jay Z, Beyonce and their nephew. She said no to a picture, her driver said it was because she was without her make up. Tip: if you want to see famous people go to this hotel and sit there for an hour. It is amazing.

This is Solonge, Beyonces sister.

This is Beyonce's driver we made friends with, with the goal of getting "info."

This is Beyonces licence plate. I'm thinking of getting mine changed to Diva 77.

This is my man KaMillionaire.
(i have no idea if i spelled that right)

Rosanna Arquette

Ballroom as they were getting it ready.

On our way in.

Yep.. those brown eyes are looking at me.

This is DJ from Full House!

Hayley was almost just as excited to meet BJ Novak, Ryan from The Office. He was SO nice, he was our buddy by the end of the night.

Us with comedian Sara Silverman and our buddy Kyle. His aunt got him this job as a volunteer at the benefit because he is a huge fan of John. He is going to music school and one day we will be famous for knowing him.
If you want some good wholesome entertainment, DO NOT go to one of Sara's shows.

Who is this guy? I will give you a dollar!

Tom Bergeron!
Who you gonna call? Ghost Busters!
This is us at the end of our fabulous night, not wanting to walk into our hotel room hence ending our adventure. Thanks Hay for sharing one of the most fun nights of my life! And keeping me laughing... I will remember it forever!
(I love this picture of you!)

Having one last moment.
John...we'll see you in July at Usana!
