New Moon Shot

My dad got this shot from his telescope, on one of his recent trips to Powell. I love how much detail you can see. Everyone needs to own a telescope they really are fascinating. Speaking of New Moon. Is anyone reading Stephenie Meyer's 'The Host'? If you have, what do you think? I have only read a few pages.

S is for SNAKE Sighting! (this is like the 5th)

I heard some screams from the backyard....
Gracie, Indi, Presley, Beaux, Aspen, and Tyson just sat and starred.
The pink and white speck by the fence is Sloane. She was keeping her distance.

Tyson started running toward us with something in his hand yelling, "Mom I found another one!" I quickly remembered the girls had found a dead snake in that area earlier. Melissa yelled, "Tyson put it down its DEAD!!" He yelled back as he kept running, " No it's not it's just frozen!" Soo funny and soo gross!

First Gear

My dad found this video of Cassidy on YouTube practicing. We don't know who filmed it. He is doing a cone drill...pretty fun to watch. He is only in first gear!

help

I have a love/hate relationship with Costco. So I need your help. I never have the time to search this entire gigantic store for the treasures it holds. Or the money to experiment on things I might not like. So I thought it would be fun to hear some of your MUST HAVES when you go to Costco. I would love to hear anything! Dinner ideas, treats, great socks...whatever.
Here are some of mine:
1. Dried Mangoes (in bag, close to the front by the dried fruit. sorry cant remember brand. but they are heaven.)
2. Granatos cheese bread. It comes in a huge square and feeds a ton. Its like $4. Goes great for Italian dinner night.
3. Carnation Instant Breakfast (chocolate milk) it comes with a ton of packages in the box at a great price. It's great when you need something fast.
4. Olive Oil, huge bottle...good price.
5. Peggy's Premium Edamame, comes with 12 individual boxes you heat in microwave. Toss with some Kosher salt. Yum.
6. Olay Daily Facials. I love washing my face with these.
7. Of course those Rotisserie chickens always make a quick dinner. You can use them for shredded chicken stuff too.
8. I always buy butter there.
9. Box of the bags of sliced apples. Refrigerator section.
10. Bag of frozen blueberries. Great for smoothies.
11. I have to get a Churro everytime I go!

O.K. your turn....help me out!

2 Years Ago Today....

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY BEAUX !!!!

Beaux was a BIG surprise to us!
After 2 1/2 years of trying for Sloane and a really scary delivery, we decided I better not get pregnant again. I learned to be o.k. with that and knew we could always adopt. Then...when Sloane was 7 months old we got the surprise of our life time! I was shocked to say the least. It was sooo hard to get Sloane and here I was suddenly pregnant. I was also REALLY nervous I would have a repeat of HELLP Syndrome. But it was a problem free pregnancy and when she got here we were both healthy and extremely happy!!

She was supposed to be named Ava Ellery. I was dead set on it. But when she got here I looked at her and felt really strongly she wasn't Ava. It took me a while to admit it. Greg had been dead set on naming her Bo. (he fell in love with the little girl on the movie Signs) After 3 whole weeks and some tears shed as I mourned the loss of my then favorite name Ava, my mom said, "I think you know what her name is supposed to be..."
I did... we named her Ellery Beaux. And I think it couldn't fit her more perfectly.

I love the look on Sloane's face seeing Beaux for the first time. She looks like she is thinking," Oh my gosh, you're kidding me right?"

When I had a hard time getting her to sleep, Greg would walk her around our downstairs like this and she would be out! Sometimes it put Greg to sleep too.

My baby holding my baby.

Following in her mom's massage footsteps.
This morning opening presents. My family is gone so we will wait to have her big party till later this week.

A few things about Beaux:
She is very funny and silly. She has a good sense of humor.
She loves to say YELLOW and can say it perfectly. She says it all the time, and gets so excited if I show her something that is actually yellow.
She copies her sisters all day.
She didn't like binkies until she was 18 months old. Now she is an addict.
(what ever keeps them happy right?)
She loves to swing at Tu Tu's house.
She loves shoes and make up.
She knows it makes her Grandpa Jerry sick when she picks her nose...so she will stick her finger up it the minute he walks in the room just to get his reaction.
She loves to ride her wiggle bike on the track in our back yard.
She loves water and is known to dunk her head into gross puddles.
She has pretty impressive iphone skills.
Eating makes her happy, she literally will start to dance and wiggle in her chair after each bite of things she loves. And she loves HUGE bites.
When she was tiny you could put her into a trance by kissing softly around her mouth lots of times.
She loves babys and baby dolls.
We love her beautiful eyes and happy smile and how she makes us laugh.
WE LOVE YOU BEAUX! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Could these BLOSSOMS be any cuter?!

I will say I love the rain. Especially at night lying in bed. But I am missing our warm weather, especially for Memorial Day Weekend! Who knows what kind of tree this is? Robyn does it look familiar?

Did A Bully Ruff Up My Child?

Indi shocked me by walking in from school looking like this on tues. I asked what happened...she said, "you forgot it was crazy hair day, so i fixed it."

Laundry Loader for Hire

Beaux LOVES to load the laundry! She loves nothing more than me handing her one piece of clothing at time and placing it inside the washer or dryer. She takes her job very seriously and would do it all day if she could. She has even figured out the dials to start it.
If you would like to hire her she would gladly work for free....or maybe a binkie.

A Night at TuTu and Baca's (my mom and dad)

She doesn't look guilty, does she? Nothing like playing with toxic chemicals and a razor! I can still taste Comet in my mouth. Sloane came up to Carly and told her Beaux got some powdowee stuff. She said, "Come here and close your eyes."
Sorry mom and dad, hope the fumes have died down!
) Sloane sang,"Fabulously handsome!", as she combed Griffin's hair.
(She's watched Enchanted a few times :)

Kid Quote

The lawn mowers have been out this morning. Suddenly I hear Sloane and Beaux running to the garage door, thinking they heard it opening, excitedly screaming, "Daddy, Daddy!" I yelled down the stairs to them and asked if dad was here.
Sloane said, "No, it was just the thing that vacuums the grass."

Walking On Sunshine

Indi, we are so proud of you!!! You did fabulous! You especially did a great job on your special part! We loved watching you!
Proud Dad
Ashley, Ramey (Indi's life long friend), and Indi
This was in front of Timpview...Indi and I were walking all by ourselves to our car in the dark. I sort of had a moment, thinking about time and how fast it goes by. Seems like I was there just yesterday, and now I am leaving with my 7 year old from her dance recital. It made me think of how fast my time raising her will go by. Wish I could slow it down.
