Cassidy's 5th Place X Games 2009

Cassidy took 5th place in Supermoto against some of the best riders around the world. Not bad for a dude who sits at a desk now and eats lunch from a vending machine. He has only been on a bike 6 times since last season! He is amazing and we were so happy to be there again with him. The X Games are a blast!

Cassidy's team: David Pingree and the legend Jeff Ward.

Starting line on the jumbo tron. Wish I could have gotten pictures from the asphalt part of the race. The majority of Supermoto is on asphalt, they go up to 100 miles per hr and around tight corners of concrete barriers. Then onto a dirt motocross track, it is such a fun sport to watch.

Our good friend Rob Collins came out and spent the day with us.

Dad and Maddy with Rick "The Giant". Our families long time friend.
The family with Troy Lee. He is Cassidy's sponsor and owner of Troy Lee Designs.
Proud of our brother!
Cassidy loves it when his proud mom kisses him at one of his races.

So many interviews when you are famous.
Someone taking some of his gear that they won.
Proud wifey Nicole.

Troy Lee's head mechanic Matt Jory from Austraillia and girlfriend Chelsey.
Troy and Cass talking about his race.
Cassidy's friend Greg Jenson and girlfriend Katina. Greg owns Motofrugals.
Greg and Jeremy Jenson and Cass
Rick stole some pasta from the riders. He felt he needed to carb up before the race. He is hiding it from the chef.
Rick, Greg, Nicole Rob, Lisel, Chris, Dad, Mom, and Maddy
This is ME WITH STEVE MCQUEEN'S SON CHAD!!
My bud, the handsome Carey Hart :)
He is SUCH a nice guy...said some really great things about Cassidy. His brother passed away last year after crashing racing Supermoto. Cassidy was racing at the same event.
Carey's tent comes with a turn table.

Fancy cars and his own personal doctor to work on him before races.

This is Adrian Chareyre from France, he took 3rd. Maddy and I have become friends with his teammate Mauno Hermunen from Finland on Facebook. When Cassidy won the biggest Supermoto race in the world in Belgium, Mauno took second. It was fun to meet someone from his team. As we were taking this picture he said, "Ahhh thees eas America!" Pretty funny.
Katina and I with Mark Burkhart.
Greg and Jolene from Travis Pastrana's show Nitro Cirus.
Everyone's favorite redneck.
Jeremy McGrath!
Every time we take pictures of him at races he will turn and smile.
Jeremy #2

Ok this girl is so inspiring and amazing. Her name is Ashley Fiolek, I met her last year at the X Games. She was injured and not able to race. But this year she was ready to go. She is 16 years old and deaf. She has to rely on feeling vibrations in her bike to know when to shift. She ended up with the gold! So fun to watch.

We made a stop at one of our favorite shows. Kat wasn't there but it was really fun to see the place. We even got to watch a Ford commercial being filmed.

Beaux+ Bee =

Beaux was jealous of her dad's BAD allergic reaction to potato peels (we think) that left him with giant swollen wrists, hives covering his body and his top lip 3 times its natural size. He has looked like someone from the Simpson's since yesterday. So she invited a wasp to sting her bottom lip. I don't know why people pay so much for lip injections...just go tick off a bee.

FOUND...

Grandpa Jerry sent us on quite the treasure hunt, it was the highlight of our weekend. We couldn't have had a better time. The girls were so excited and proud of their tree that they will always have from their grandpa.
Grandpa Jerry spends many a day on the Alpine Loop on his motorcycle. Even squeezing through the gates and sweeping it off before it opens for the season. On one of his rides years ago he started this tree.

Growing up we had a family tree, so this was neat to have one for my girls.

Pointing to their names!
Excited to start their hunt!

We missed it on our first try so we had to turn around and keep looking. The second time we all felt the vibe where it was but Greg was the one who spotted it first.

Haven't seen the loop this gorgeous in a LONG time. Make the trip, you won't regret it. Thanks dad! This is just the beginning of our trips to their tree!

My dad is SO cute. I LOVE that he did this for his 'tree little girls'. Check out his blog...it's under Dad on my blog list. Can't wait to find our tree!

Snowies and Burgers

Hands down the BEST snowie I have partaken of.
In front of Day's Market in Edgemont. The ice is perfect, (I know that is subjective) it is smooth and oh so yummy. I love their kiddie size that doesn't go above the rim, great for Sloane and Beaux. I usually get Sour grape or Carly's fav Raspberry Peach with CREAM! Indi's creation is Watermelon Ice, Peach and Banana. Stop by and let me know what you think.

This picture is in memory of a couple years ago when Madison was too embarrassed to go buy ONE snowie because we only had quarters! She was too good for the coin. She would have died being with us making this large order.

Last but not least. This is my little burger joint that I don't want to go out of business. It is run by darling people, it is yummy and CHEAP! I love their cheese burgers and fry sauce.  So go give them some biz!

Kid Quote

Sloane brought in my scale, put it down, stepped on and said, "Mom, look how many cents I am."

Last Day of School Bus Stop Surprise Party!

On the kids last day of school all the parents in the neighborhood got together to surprise the kids as they got off the bus. We waited with pots and pans to bang, horns, bells, silly string, water balloons, water guns, popsicles, candy and doughnuts, and bubbles.

On the last day of school their bus driver does speedy circles a few times around the round-a-bout. We could hear them screaming all the way down the street!

The kids were so cute and shocked to  see us there cheering and being crazy. The bus driver honked and honked and honked. Sorry to all of the sleeping babies in the neighborhood.

Indi hopping off.

It was the perfect way to start summer!

Summer Nostalgia

My kiddos had their first Ice Cream Man experience today. Brought back memories. Melissa and I started yelling, "The Ice Cream Man is coming!" Not even knowing what we were talking about the kids jumped off the swing set and ran with big eyes towards the sweet little tune playing as he came towards our house. Sure it was dinner time but who cares. It was as fun for the kids as it was for Melissa, Greg and I to look at the colorful pictures and decide what yummy thing we wanted.
Sloane and Beaux: Tweety Bird pop.
Indi: Bubble gum snow cone (complete with a gum ball at the bottom)
Me: Cookies and Cream
Greg: Cookie and Ice Cream Sandwich
After we had come inside Beaux said, "That was a FUN Tweety."
And it was.

i LOVE my girls

Greg had to leave before the sun came up Mother's Day morning to work for a couple hours.
I woke up to the sound of 3 sweet little voices saying, "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!"  I sat up as they placed this on my bed. Cinnamon toast, chocolate chip cookie and a glass of O.J.
This is what being a mom is all about.  It was the sweetest  moment I will remember forever. Greg did not tell them to do this, they remembered it was Mother's Day and did it all by themselves. It was the best toast, cookie and juice I have ever eaten. I told them how I was so lucky Heavenly Father sent each of them to me. A few minutes later as I was eating Beaux looked deep in thought then said, "Heavenly Father and Jesus are SO nice." I told her she was right. I am so thankful to be a mom and today I was reminded of how important my job is. Sometimes it gets so overwhelming but it is worth every second. I hope I can be the mom they deserve.
I love you Indi Sue, Sloaney Baloney, and Beaux Beaux
