GLORY DAYS.....

1995
This photo makes me laugh because it looks like 1925. I am at the base of the middle stunt on the right. We are looking good in our huge heavy sweaters and our white chiffon bows in our hair.

Cheer Camp
all squads

Proof we have not lost it.

Don't try this at home...we are trained cheerleaders.
31 year olds in cheer outfits obnoxious?..probably....but we didn't care.

I have to start out and say I am very sad at the loss of all my pictures from this event. Greg mistakenly erased them while transferring them to a memory stick. And yes we have made up from the fight it caused. Thank you to Megan for hers. The alumni cheerleaders were invited to come back and cheer for Homecoming. Megan and I were the only ones from our squad proud enough of our heritage to come back. (we will excuse the two 9 month prego girls) Megan and I were a little leery about the whole wear our uniform issue. We tried to be creative...buying leggings and calf length tights to go under our skirts. But when Megan said, "I think we should go BIG (no pun intended) or go home." I thought 'why not'? It was so hilarious as she and I walked into that game. Us old ladies in our huge sweaters. We passed some boys and Megan said to me, "Did he just say scary?" Anyway we were pleased to see that we were actually the youngest alumni there. But the best part was seeing my little girls cheering, screaming and waving to me like I was a rock star.

The cheerleaders did a cheer where you yell your year you graduated and after Megan and I yelled ours we did a perfectly synchronized round off back handspring, just like the good old days! The crowd went surprisingly wild! It was sooo fun. After we high fived it big time...I sort of realized they were cheering soooo loud because they couldn't believe us OLD girls could do that. They just don't realize THEY are so young! Anyway it was a blast!
I love you Megan...thanks for not being afraid to relive the glory days with me.

Megan and I with our own home grown cheer squad!

I was really sad to loose the pictures with my sister Madison who is a JV cheerleader. It was so fun to be there with her. She called me later that night to tell me her guy friend who graduated last year, said that he saw her MOM cheering! It burst my bubble a little as you could imagine. A couple of the girls on her squad had their moms cheering, so I am just going to tell myself that's why he thought that. Here are some cute pics of her cheering.

Un-Be-Leavable. I'm pretty much speachless and that is a hard thing to do. Way to represent the class of 95 ladies

I wanted to come to that so bad! You look awesome!!! I love how the outfits just seem to be getting smaller and smaller. Those first photo's really do look like they are from the 50's though "wow"

Wow! I'm so impressed that your outfits look BIGGER on you guys than they did 13 years ago. I can't believe we're that old! The earrings are way cooler than anything we had back then though! I couldn't do a cartwheel today if I tried, let alone a back handspring (not that I could've done one back then!!).

yeah you got the pictures. I am so glad you posted them. I can't get over that we did that. My kids keep asking me to tumble and I told them next time they have a homecoming. You rock my world and I am so glad I had you there with me. I would not have done it without you!!!! I too loved how our girls were screaming so loud. It was the best part.

BTW timpview beat orem and we were better than orem's senior cheerleaders not one tumbled.

O.K. so I want a picture of this so called Round Off Back Hand Spring. I don't believe you can do one. Or maybe I'm just jealous that I never could do one. Anyways - You Go Girl!!! I'm proud.

WOW! I'm glad to hear we have made up from the "losing the picture battle"!

Also, you failed to mention that Maddy's friend that thought you were her mom, said that you were "SLAMMIN"!
