(While eating chicken nuggets at Chick'fil'a after school shopping together)
Indi: "Mom, there's TWO meanings for chicken! One is for the kind like chicken nuggets, and one is for the bak bak kind. (making wings with her arms) You know the bird."

I thought she knew the..we eat animals truth,by now. But apparently not. And I wasn't going to eliminate her only source of protein from her diet. So..

Me: "Yep, you're right!"

We went up to South Towne so we could go to Narrjte. Spent lots of time there looking at all their cute things. As she held the couple of outfits we picked out she says bored and longingly, "I just can't wait to go pick out supplies. My favorite thing to get for school is my backpack and my supplies to go in it."

She couldn't have cared less about her clothes. I thought it was funny. She is my little book worm, loves to read. Loves to study the dates books were published. Gets excited when she sees a continuous cover. (She pointed out my Rolling Stone magizine with John Mayer has one.) I hope she always keeps her love for learning.
