Father's Day in the Mountains!

My girls have been blessed with the best dad. They love him more than anything.
I love to see their faces and hear their voices everyday as they hear the garage door open, and know that he is home. I also love to watch his face, as they each melt him time and time again.
HE LOVES HIS GIRLS.
I love to see them play, get teased and loved better by him.
What a blessing to know he is there for them no matter what, and that they will always be proud to call him Dad.
Thanks for who you are and what you do for all of us.
Happy Father's Day Greg!!!

Give Me Chills

I am so excited I got this to work....I saw this dance last night on So You Think You Can Dance and probably watched it 8 times. Greg watched it four..that' a miracle for him. I get the chills each time I watch it. I'm sure it's better on a TV but give it a watch. It made me want to take a "old mom" dance class. Since it's on such a little screen try to watch the little movements and details. You can fast forward to the actual dance if ya want. It's supposed to be a soldier telling his loved one he is going to war. In the end he leaves her with his jacket.

TAGGED!

by Hayley Holliman

What I was doing ten years ago.... Ten years ago I was finishing up Massage Therapy School and planning a wedding. My mom will tell you I was a little moody at that time. I had lots going on. I graduated, and then a week later Greg's parents got home from their mission as mission presidents in Leon, Mexico. They had been gone for 3 years! Then about a week later we got married!! Our 10 year anniversary is on July 16!

What I was doing five years ago... We lived in Pleasant Grove in our little town home that we bought. We did a lot with our good friends Darin and Darcie Warren who lived right next door...we shared walls. We were really happy there and I miss seeing them as much as we did then. We just had Indi and was enjoying every second of her. We were also trying to get Sloane here. (She took 2 1/2 years, two surgeries and two miscarriages to get her.) Greg was working at Pro Steel where he had worked since he was in high school. We were really excited when he got promoted to shop manager then to Purchasing! He was in charge of purchasing all the materials they needed to make the Browning Gun Safes they manufactured.

Interesting story: Pres. George Bush senior special ordered a safe for Pres. Bush Junior. It said Laura and George Bush across the front. He wanted her name first so that George and Bush weren't separated. It also said Prairie Chapel Ranch. That is where their house was that the safe would be. It had a special design that had deer, turkey and sage hens on it. Greg was in charge of putting the whole interior in,(shelves, carpeting) and the logos and wording on the outside. Cuz he was the best at it! Well he decided this safe needed to leave with some sort of "Greg Robison has been here" So he wrote his name a bunch of times inside the whole safe! Under the carpeting on the shelves and walls. So some where on the Prairie Chapel ranch sits a presidential safe with Greg's name scribbled all over the inside. I wouldn't be surprised if the secret service X rayed the thing and has run a check on him. :)

One Year Ago.....I was crazy busy trying to keep a 2 and 1 year old entertained. Indi had just finished kindergarten and I was wondering how I was ever going to let her go to 1st grade ALL DAY! I was gardening like crazy because that's what I look forward to in the summer time. And we took a few Lake Powell trips. Greg also quit his job and began AllStar Sanitation!

Yesterday... Was a day of friends, Popsicles and swing sets. The girls just played and played and played!! It was so nice to watch. I have had "the boring house" till this swing set came along. So it was great to see the girls having fun at THEIR house. I was able to have some quiet in the house by myself and even quilted a little. When Greg got home we went to my moms to see the car damage and hang out. My aunt Mary and cousin Summer surprised us and came down from Salt Lake and we had fun chatting with them for a while

You Might Be A Redneck If.....

One of Greg's suppliers sent him a bunch of huge toilet paper rolls that he can't use in his porta potties........so he thought we could use them here!
This is what I found when I walked into the bathroom today.

Soo Succulent!

I love gardening!
But am definitely a work in progress, I have a lot to learn.
This year I planted a pot and filled it with succulents, moss and a few white rocks. Big plus is....if you slack off on the watering no big deal. They need water once a week! And these pink flowers bloom like crazy!
(I wish I knew their name)

105 degrees

Beaux has had an unbelievable fever today. Out of all my kids she has had the hardest fevers. As she was absolutely miserable, I look over and she has her baby on her chest and is PATTING HER BACK! Oh...I thought it was the sweetest thing ever! How many times have us moms done this same thing while we are miserable?
She will be one good mommy.
In between the 4 cool baths so far, doses of medicine and 43 episodes of Caillou. Beaux decided it would be fun to look like gang members and put some headbands on us. Would you mess with her?
(no i am not sick too, just look like it)

LOVE

With Carly's upcoming marriage, I would like to dedicate this post to her, and her love for her fiance' Griffin.

Their love is of the most pure and passionate. To one another they are known as "babe." Last Valentines Day, as a show of her love for Griffin...(babe) she decided to get some photos of herself done that reflected her love and passion for him. She asked if I would help her....Did we use our sister photographer for these special photos...no, we needed quality. We went straight to Kiddie Kandids. I think they turned out beautiful and Griffin indeed felt the love she was sending through the lense of the camera. I am very grateful to be able to be a witness to this love that they share, and am thankful I got out of this photo shoot with only partially peeing my pants.

Sorry Car.....just remember that if this post rekindles just one of my blog readers flame that has burnt out..it was worth it.
I will be waiting for my phone to ring.
P.S. If you dont already get it...Carly will want you to know these photos were a joke gift.

Cute twin bobbed sisters. This is the shortest Indi has ever had her hair! It was quite exciting for her. She said, "It's a new me!" As Robyn was cutting it she was so giddy. Thanks Robyn for the cute do!

Saturday

Summer Saturday mornings usually belong to Greg. (at the golf course) But yesterday I took them back! My dad sent me and my sisters an email about a open call for movie extras. Not just any movie, it was a scene with Brad Pitt out on the salt flats. Ya, Brad Pitt. So Hayley and I set out on another adventure! Here she is driving us. She was really tired.
We were on our way to Tooele at 6 a.m.
This is Gregg and Mechelle (yes i spelled those right). While we were waiting at the wrong place, they pulled up on their Harley Davidson. We could tell they were cold so we asked if they wanted to get in our car with us. They came from Logan! He was quiet and shy and she was one of the funnier people I have ever met. We sat in the car and laughed till we finally realized we were probably at the wrong place. Mechelle plans to open up a coffee shop near Zions called Perky Cups. She will sell the coffee in cups sized A B C and D.

Once we found the right place we got in line...about 70 people back. It was freezing so Mechelle returned the favor and gave me her Harley jacket to wear. A girl came out and said we want you to look as plain as possible so don't put make up on if you are. Hayley and I began to wipe our make up off our eyes. Me with my fingers, Hayley had a wipe but wouldn't share.

This is where we got our big chance. We filled out our paper and a girl came up and starred us down then wrote a star on the back of our papers and we got our pictures taken. She wrote a Q like symbol on Gregg's and she told Mechelle her hair was too modern for what they were looking for, she didn't get anything written on hers. They told us girls we could go and kept Greg double G. Later we found out if you have a star you might have a chance but if you had the Q thing you were perfect. We can't wait to see the movie to see what this casting call was for. They did auditions in Tooele and Wendover. As we left there was about 1,000 people in line! Anyway, we left rejects. The movie is called Tree of Life and Heath Leger was actually supposed to play Brad's role.

So when we got home I saw this in our backyard!! My cute husband finally got the swing set I have been begging for! Begging because my children think our house is really boring. He worked ALL DAY!

Lots of lumber!
Indi being the good big sister that she is.

Sloane doing some measurements.

It was a perfect day...we just hung out in the back yard and relaxed. Except Greg.
The weather was perfect!

Beaux sat and rubbed sunscreen on herself for about a half hour. Really.

Then she got sick of waiting. She loves to swing!

Roxy and Bentley came over to visit. I love these dogs. They are Brussels Griffens.
Like Verdell from As Good As It Gets.

This is after 10 p.m.
Funny Story:
I was tired from my early morning and went to bed. Forgetting to tell Greg to remember about the sprinklers and his tools and lumber being out etc. I don't know what time he came in but at 1:30 Beaux woke me up and needed a drink. I noticed Melissa's sprinklers on, that meant us next. I woke Greg up and he VERY TIREDLY went out to turn ours off. While he had his hands in the box instead of turning ours off he accidently turned them on! This giant power spray sprinkler popped up behind him and sprayed full force right across his back! It was SO FUNNY, but I felt bad and didn't laugh. I just asked when he came in, "Did that wake you up?" He said, "YES." He told me today it woke him up so much that he didn't fall back asleep till 3 a.m. I have been laughing thinking about it all day.
Thanks for working so hard on the swing set Greg!
