help

I have a love/hate relationship with Costco. So I need your help. I never have the time to search this entire gigantic store for the treasures it holds. Or the money to experiment on things I might not like. So I thought it would be fun to hear some of your MUST HAVES when you go to Costco. I would love to hear anything! Dinner ideas, treats, great socks...whatever.
Here are some of mine:
1. Dried Mangoes (in bag, close to the front by the dried fruit. sorry cant remember brand. but they are heaven.)
2. Granatos cheese bread. It comes in a huge square and feeds a ton. Its like $4. Goes great for Italian dinner night.
3. Carnation Instant Breakfast (chocolate milk) it comes with a ton of packages in the box at a great price. It's great when you need something fast.
4. Olive Oil, huge bottle...good price.
5. Peggy's Premium Edamame, comes with 12 individual boxes you heat in microwave. Toss with some Kosher salt. Yum.
6. Olay Daily Facials. I love washing my face with these.
7. Of course those Rotisserie chickens always make a quick dinner. You can use them for shredded chicken stuff too.
8. I always buy butter there.
9. Box of the bags of sliced apples. Refrigerator section.
10. Bag of frozen blueberries. Great for smoothies.
11. I have to get a Churro everytime I go!

O.K. your turn....help me out!

Thanks for the ideas I am putting your list on mine. I love the Kirkland Salmon in the freezer section with the Jonny's seasoning or Yoshtas teriyaki sauce found in the dry goods section. Throw on the BBQ so easy. I also love the mash potatoes they are Paradise Valley all natural creamy mash potatoes. They are great for food storage. Ciabata Bread in the bakery, they make it fresh I make paninies with their fresh motzorella and pesto. Now that I think about it I need to go to Costco. I know what you mean about the love hate relationship, I can never get out of there under a hundred bucks.

Holy Shiz I’m coming to your house for dinner and snacks. That is quite the list. We totally agree with you on the love/hate. However Costco is our go to almost any time.

Here is what the McKinney List usually is when we touch down at Costco.

1. Apple Juice in the big plastic jugs. Hailey has a serious drinking problem.

2. Kirkland bottled water. We go through it quick but it is nice to have a cold water bottle to grab.

3. Apples, Pineapples slices, Sweet Potato Fries...Check

4. A shrimp Platter from the back. A must have for a Saturday snack.

5. If Brandon is feeling lucky an electronic gadget finds its way into the cart. (at least for the ride through the store)

6. Carter's PJ's for the girls

7. TP and Paper Towels when running low.

8. A big thing of hamburger. Then I section it off and freeze it.

9. Frozen bag of Chicken

10. Frozen bag of White Meat Chicken Nuggets.

In addition to yours (I love a lot of the stuff on your list too) Here are my Costco must haves:

1- I always buy bread there. You can't beat the price, especially for two loaves. Then I freeze the other one. (bakery)

2- Frozen sweet white corn. I can't remember the brand but it's the only frozen corn I think they sell. Nothing comes closer to taste or freshness that I've tried. (frozen vegie section)

3- Canned stewed tomatoes. I use these all the time(so I buy in bulk) anything from Italian to Mexian food or soups. A must have in my stock pile. (canned food section)

4- Uncooked tortillas. Can't remember the brand again. It takes a little extra time to cook these, but the taste is SO much better and fresher than other tortillas. (by the eggs I think)

5- Large bag of Kirkland shredded cheddar and monteray jack cheese. We love cheese at our house and go through a lot of it! I love that I don't have to shred it. It always tastes fresh too! (by dairy products)

6- Newman's Own Grape juice. This is the best tasting grape juice ever! You can get two bottles for price of one. (back in canned juice section).

7- Odwalla orange juice and "super food" drink. These are amazing drinks especailly if you are into health food. My kids will even drink the "super food" and it has spinach in it. (refridgerated section).

8- Fresh Produce. I always walk through this section because I have found their produce to be high quaility. My must haves are spinach, fresh pineapple, avacados, and baby carrots. (you can't beat the price on these anywhere).

9- You can't beat their cheesecake! I have killed myself trying to bake a cheesecake and when I tasted their's I knew the torture was over. Kenny and I LOVE cheesecake. (bakery section)

10- Kirkland 4-cheese ravioli. These are amazing and cook up in about 10 minutes. Perfect for dinner in a hurry. (frozen foods)

11- Stacey's Pita Chips. I love these...I can and have eaten a whole bag. I can't find these anywhere else. Look for the sea salt kind (by the bagged chips)

12- Aveeno lotion. We love this lotion and Costco has the best price anywhere. (by pharmacy)

13- Paper products- in all their variaties. Diapers, wipes, toliet paper, napkins, cups and paper plates, silverware. I figure you can never have enough of this stuff on hand. Especially if there is a natural disaster- you will have something to eat on, wipe with and potty on.

14- Speaking of disaster- we also purchased their emergency food supply bucket and lots of bottled water.

15- For special occasions their imported cheeses are to die for!! Great for fancy Italian or appetizers!

Wow! There you have it!!
