HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM !!!!!
A few things about my mom:
1. Her favorite color is white. If you have been to her house you know. It is hilarious going shopping with her because everything she picks up is WHITE, but sometimes once she gets a good look at it, it's not "white enough."
2. She loves the outdoors. biking, hiking, camping, boating, planting her yard, skiing.
3. She makes holidays as special as they could possibly be. From birthdays to Christmas. Everything is perfect.
4. In high school, every parent teacher conference at least one of my teachers would ask why my sister came instead of my mom.
5. She has a knack for hitting deer and driving up onto other cars. So much so that a key chain has been made that says "Don't Park Behind Shannon."
6. She always thinks of herself last.
7. She found out in her adulthood that the word flyswatter was a combination of two words: fly and swatter. Not flys (flice) and water.
8. When she laughs really hard her face turns a purplish red. One of Greg's favorites.
9. If you want to torture her, brush her eyebrows backwards.
10. Her grand kids call her Tutu, which is Hawaiian for Grandma. It also fits because she was a ballerina.
11. She is forgetful...it is fun because you can always tell her a story twice.
12. Once a bird flew in our house, as she was trying to safely catch it in a net so that it wouldn't die flying into the windows...it pooped in her mouth.
13. She should have been in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, cuz she rocked a bikini back in the day.
14. She is going to kill me for a few of these.
15. She is one of Greg's favorite people to tease, and now has a few new son in laws that have found joy in it.
16. She has always been a fabulous Mom and Tutu. We couldn't be more lucky to have her.

My dad reminded me that when she was in JR. HIGH she and her best friend Allison put on her mom's wigs and red lipstick then stole her stepfather's Lincoln and took it for a joy ride around Provo. I think they pulled up in the driveway at the same time as her parents. Mom you rebel!

That's so funny, every time I have to pick out furniture I always pick the white one! Just ask Cassidy it drives him nuts. Me and Shannon need to go to White furniture therapy!!! Happy Birthday, you don't look a day over thirty with that new skin care!
Happy birthday shannon!! I hope when I go to my kids parent-teacher conferences, they think I am a sister too!!!

you forgot to mention she does the greatest monkey imitation ever....at least i think she does, i haven't seen it since i was about 12 but it's so good, you can't forget it!
Shannon is my birthday buddy! I forgot to wish her a happy one when I chatted with ya on the phone the other day. I have fun memories of her always smiling and supportive of whatever crazy thing we were up to in high school. I hope she had a great one! Tell her hello for me :>
