Kid Quote

Sloane really wanted me to read her a book to stall on bed time. I finally said, "ok Sloane I will read you one book!"
She replied very dramatically,
"Thanks mom, thank you so much! You are the best mom, the bestest mom in this whole town!"
Sorry to all the PG moms out there :)

Tippy Toes

Benefits of walking ALL DAY on your toes:
1. You get calves like these....
2. Only the balls of your feet get dirty
3. High heels will never faze you
4. You can reach treats a little easier
5. When you're at gymnastics on the beam you never hear your teacher say,
" Sloane, walk on your tippy toes!"

Since we can remember Sloane has walked on her toes...her tippy tippy toes. All day long for months we were saying, "Sloane, walk on your feet!" A number of times people would hear us and we would get strange looks and comments like, "What else would she walk on?" It has gotten to the point I feel bad telling her not to because it is so natural and easier for her. It's instinct for her. So hopefully she can be a ballerina and put it to some good use.

First Primary Prayer

Sloane was sooo excited to say the prayer in primary! She practically skipped up to the microphone where a little sound came out of her mouth, just so she could hear her voice. As I began to help her, I noticed her arms weren't folded and her eyes weren't shut, she just wanted to take it all in. Her little buddy Holden was giving the talk...so I whispered "please bless Holden that he can do good on his talk." It came out, "Please bless Holden that he can get a dog."
It was such an exciting experience for her. I was surprised, and loved the fact she wasn't nervous. After, she got sentimental and gave me a big hug and thanked me for helping her with her prayer.

Pretty Yellow Flowers

As I watched Indi walk to the bus stop, I saw a little girl in her class carrying a pot full of flowers. Crap! I forgot it was teacher appreciation "bring your teacher a flower day". Indi loves her teacher and I just knew she would be devastated that I forgot, and I felt like a horrible mother. When she got home she said, "Mom, it was bring your teacher a flower day!" I apologized profusely and promised to get her one to take tomorrow. She said, " No you don't have to...I got her one myself!"
She was so proud! I asked what flower she got her, she said, "One of those pretty yellow ones from the grass!"
I thought it was the cutest thing I had ever heard, I love the cute innocence she still has.

Girls Night Out...First to Outback then to Labor and Delivery!

We decided to go have a girls night to celebrate Cristin and Stacey's birthdays. Earlier in the day Cristin(who is 30 weeks prego) had a ladder break underneath her. Not only did it give her a nice scrape up her whole tummy but it sent her into contractions. She is used to early contractions with her pregnancies so she just hung in there. But during my long drawn out John Mayer story at dinner we noticed she was getting way too uncomfortable. So we decided to take our party to Labor and Delivery! Where there were LOTS OF LAUGHS, a couple of not fun tests for Cristin, and lots more laughs!
This is Darcie (and her fourth baby girl!)riding a horse to the beat of baby Belle's heart. I will never hear a heart monitor the same way.
This is the nurse checking Cristin
...oh wait thats Dr. me.

We are so happy Cristin was o.k. and baby Belle is just fine.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLS, WE LOVE YA!
Thanks for a fun night!

Favorite Things

In an 8oz serving of this you get a full fruit AND vegetable serving! And it DOESN'T taste like vegetables! My kids love it! It's an easy way to get more veggies in them. It is a tad expensive so buy it at Target where it is like a buck less. Yes....Target has CHEAP groceries!

Two fun days at Disney!

All the fun temporarily took away Hayley's eyesight.
Good thing she had her Large Disney Sucker to use as a walking stick.
I wonder if the people walking down the hall thought she was as funny as I did.
I nearly wet my pants as she used her stick to feel up the walls and down on the floor as she walked all the way down the hall by herself. Unfortunately I missed her getting shut in the elevator doors.

Smith and Hawkin!! I was in heaven here!!

We stopped and ate at a yummy place in the mall and this was their ice! It was fabulous.
Hayley appropriately named it "aeration ice."

We went shopping in Saks

We went and my sisters tried on wedding dresses! They said I couldn't show pictures. They got some great ideas. This is a wedding cake they had in the store.
They had gorgeous dresses!

Funny story:
I told my sisters we should try on some fancy jewelry and take our pictures in it. They didn't want to bug the sales lady and didn't want me too either. But I am not afraid to be annoying so I did.... she told me this necklace was $46,0000 and she would have to call security if I wanted to try it on. Ha Ha! So on the way back down from trying on wedding dresses I thought it would be fun to get a picture of the necklace that I was not able to try on! So I snapped this photo....I hear very loudly, "Mam! Do you have clearance from upstairs to take that photo?!!" I said no and asked if she wanted me to delete it. She said yes. Hope no one from Saks reads my blog.

Thanks Dad and Mom for a wonderful trip! It was so good for me to get away, I needed it bad!!
It was SO FUN to have some sister/mom time too. I have not laughed so hard and so much in a long time!
I Love You all!
