Congrats Cass! 4th Place X Games SuperMoto!

(Cass is #15 in the lead, this isn't an X Games photo)

Cassidy and Governor Huntsman
Let me brag a minute about my little brother Cassidy. He is a Professional SuperMoto racer, he races for Honda Troy Lee. Today he finished 4th in the ESPN Moto X Games! He finished 1st in his qualifying heat race! SuperMoto is 80% street and 20% in the dirt. They literally go 100 miles an hour around a street track right into jumps in the dirt. They put street tires (slicks) on motocross bikes. He raced Supercross first, then retired then got into SuperMoto. He was the National Champion in 2006 and has been able to race in Italy, Japan and Belgium. Today Ricky Carmicheal came and sat down by Cassidy after his race and told him he thought he was the fastest on the street. He even gave him a few pointers. He also said if he came back to racing he would race SuperMoto which would be really cool for the sport.
Gov. Huntsman is a fan of Cassidy's, he has ridden with him at Miller Motor Sports Park and has said a lot of cool things about him. He told my dad Cassidy is a good representative of our state!Who would have thought he would be into motorcycles?
We are so proud of him and can't wait to see what this new season holds!
Go Cass!

My Three Cute Monkeys

I asked Hayley to take some new pictures of my girls to show on GTU and she said o.k but I wasn't invited.
( I tend to breath down her neck a little during photo shoots)
I guess she really doesn't need me there....looking at how cute they turned out.
It's a good thing having a sister who is such a talented photographer!
Thanks Hay!

I STILL CAN'T PUT THIS TITLE INTO WORDS

Thanks to my husband, my dad and the universe aligning....my sister Hayley and I are going to a
JOHN MAYER
BENEFIT CONCERT AT THE BEVERLY WILSHIRE HOTEL IN BEVERLY HILLS!!!
The room holds 800 max and they haven't sold out! We are seriously floating! It is "black tie optional" so we get to be fancy! My family will be out there for my brother's XGames race and I will fly in on Wed the 16th, the day of the concert! If you know me at all you know how unbelievably HUGE this is for me...and Hayley is equally obsessed. We are SO excited to have a sisters girls night out... go dress up, go to a fancy dinner and then watch and listen to you know who!! This is one of those..I never thought I would get to do something like this moments.
My plane better get in that day!
P.S. I own a 3x4 foot (maybe bigger) board mounted poster of the photo above.

Ba Ba Detox

Tonight was Sloane and Beaux's first night going to bed without their ba ba's! As you can see it didn't go smoothly. Beaux kept asking for one and I would tell her..no more ba ba's. She would give me such a sad confused look and say "Why Mom?" I know..I know Sloane is way to old to still have a ba ba but I wasn't going to suffer her wrath taking away hers and not Beaux's. So I waited till I was ready to get rid of Beaux's and get them all out of the house. It's funny how it sort of makes me sad to not have them around though. Just a reminder my kids are growing up. Sloane gave up after a while and fell asleep but Beaux has been up for an hour and a half...just fell asleep as I am posting this.
Well wish us luck for the next few nights!

My Favorite Things

I found a little piece of heaven at Target. There is nothing that I love more than crawling into a soft comfy bed at the end of the day, and sleeping in in one on Saturday morning. This is
the Simply Shabby Chic Cozy Blanket. It is the most SOFT, COMFORTABLE blanket I have ever felt! Mix it with my favorite flannel sheets and it's torture getting out of bed. I think you would call it chenille. And here is the other plus...all sizes are $49.99! Twin to King! I have seen baby blankets like this for $30.00! Next time you walk down the Shabby Chic isle touch this blanket and I dare you not to put it in your cart! It comes in baby blue, light pink, sage, and white.

HEAVEN!

What Am I Thinking?!

So if you don't know by now....a couple of my friends and I sent in a video to audition to be guest hosts on Good Things Utah. (Me thinking we would never be picked, so what the heck.) Well....THEY PICKED EVERYONE! My great friends Tiffany and Robyn have already hosted and both did fabulous jobs! I have a lot to live up to! I will have to say my biggest fears are maneuvering my lips over my giant metal braces and forgetting english. Everyone pray for me :)
We actually have had a blast going up together each time we have hosted and are feeling pretty at home there. Everyone up there is SO friendly, it is really a fun, great atmosphere. We will be really sad when it's all over. Also...if anyone has any cute ideas of something I could bring and talk about let me know..I need some help. So if you want to tune in or Tivo, Friday April 11 at 10 a.m. is the big day on channel 4.

Wee Ladies

My dad turned us on to this documentary. Ewan McGregor and his friend Charlie Boorman ride motorcycles around the world! They started in London and ended in New York. It was a really good watch. They rode 20,000 miles it took 3 months. Ewan really missed his 2 daughters and when he would speak about them he would refer to his "wee ladies". Greg soon took on the saying. So that is what inspired our blog name. They rode through Mongolia and visited an orphanage that resulted in Ewan adopting a four year old girl. Now he has 3 wee ladies too.

Easter in Lake Powell!

This was truly one of the highlights of our trip. My mom gave my dad a telescope, and this was the first time Greg and I were able to use it. It was breath taking! Greg held the camera up to the view finder and took these pictures. To look through a telescope is an interesting experience (almost spiritual), makes you remember how much is out there and its just plain beautiful.

This is SATURN and it's RINGS! Looking through the telescope the rings were much more clear. We also found a star that sparkled like nothing I have ever seen. We were truly fascinated!

The Easter Bunny found us at Lake Powell!!

We were exhausted from an early Easter hunt and yes.. my mouth is open.

Since my parents got their condo, my dad has become OBSESSED with bass fishing! He could NOT wait to get there and get out on the lake. We pulled in Thurs. night and were taking our first bags in the house to see my dad had gone straight to the garage and had like 3 poles in his hands to get them ready for the morning! He stays out there all day by himself and is in heaven! He is getting really good at it!

Griffin's catch.

Griffin and Greg during their rock skipping competition. Greg won by a mile!
(Griffin is really out of shape.) You might want to hit the gym bud.
uhhhh...

o.k fine

Sloaney Baloney
Indi and her shell collection.

Lake Powell makes you thirsty!

There is a place on the side of the road where you can buy Indian jewelry. Beaux was nearly asleep in Carly's arms when Carly hears a soft..."I wan get one." It was so cute, especially because she has never said that before. It was a long sentence for her. So this is what she picked out!

Sloane ran all the way up the hill to go see Grandpa..as she got close she saw he was asleep and peeked under his hat. Then quietly laid her jacket next to him and lay down herself.

Tu tu was nice to carry two monkeys so they wouldn't get stickers in their feet.
Forgot to mention that while at the lake I totally submerged Griffin's camera in an effort to save a binki from drowning. And Sloane broke his cell phone. Luckily he fixed the phone...

Cassidy and Nicole Anderson!!

My brother Cassidy and his long time girlfriend Nicole tied the knot on Jan. 21! They surprised us and eloped in Las Vegas! I have to admit its taken a few weeks of therapy to get over not being there, but I am happy they were able to get married how they wanted...just them. And even more happy to get a new sister! They are truly made for each other!
Congratulations, we love you!
Pizzeria 712 was filled to the brim with family and friends for their fabulous wedding party...here are a few of the pics!
This is the only picture I got of Cassidy and Nicole together at their party!

My new sister Nicole!
My cute Mom!

The food was fabulous! And Griffin LOVES TO EAT...

and so does Carly.

We were able to actually get a couple good family shots...to get my kids to all look at the camera at the same time and smile is a MIRACLE!

My sister Maddy and our cute, kind-of cousin Chloe.

This is my dad's only sibling Janet and her husband Rod. We don't get to see them much, they came down from Idaho!

Just when Beaux had had enough...

Mike came and saved the day with 'the hammer!'

"Mike is a lot more fun when he's not checking my ears!"

Griffin Popped the Question!!

Carly thought she was on a scavenger hunt for Griffin's brother...when she got out to grab the last clue his brother drove away and Griffin stepped out from around the temple sign. She let out a scream and threw the clue paper that was set ontop of 45 red roses and started bawling. Greg and I had been lying on the grass in front of the temple for 1 1/2 hours to video and take photos. We creeped a lot of joggers out...since we were in dark hoodies and laying down in the dark on the grass.

She of course said "yes!" and we are so excited! Griffin has been a part of the fam for a long time and Carly is excited to become Mrs. Miller!
Congradulations, we love you!

Alone Time

Greg, Hayley and I had sent the girls upstairs so we could talk in peace. After a while Indi came to the top of the stairs and said,"Mom, I'm sorry, I didn't see her do it and Sloane has something to tell you." And she was gone. Then Sloane says, "Ya, it's Beaux and she's a MESS!" At that all three of us run upstairs and see a little monster girl looking up at us. Beaux LOVES make up! She will dig out chapstick, sunscreen sticks, even crayons and wipe them all over her face. So it was her heaven to actually have come upon (my favorite) lipstick!

Rainbow Bridge

This is a photo is from last summer, but I love it and it is in honor of my spring fever! Last summer we hiked the 3/4 mile up to Rainbow Bridge...Beaux insisted on doing it by herself in her BARE feet the whole way! Lake Powell is a special place for us and we can't wait to get back soon!
